Diamonds Make Strong Showing Against Region Rivals
Wilmington, DE- First-year ASA "A" level Harford Diamonds players hold their heads high this week after a strong showing in the 2017 Jammin' June Bash. Tournament organizers pitted the team against the eventual winners right out of the gate in Saturday morning pool play. While the Maryland girls fell to the home-state heroes they didn't give up-- playing relentlessly against regional rivals from Baltimore and Harford Counties in bracket play on day two.
Head Coach Tom Pfaff said the team has "every reason to celebrate the (fifth place) finish, as they played hard and held their own again two of the top three teams in the tournament."
The 16U travel team will play next at Jericho Park, in Bowie, MD in the ASA 16U A State Championships.
